About

MEET ERIC

Eric has called Prior Lake home since the mid-1970s, where his family built their life in the Second District. His father worked in real estate, and his mother spent more than 25 years teaching in Shakopee. His interest in
public policy began early and grew into a lifelong focus on how government decisions affect families and communities.

A graduate of Prior Lake High School, Eric earned a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he also played Division I football under Hall of Fame coach Bill McCartney. Eric later earned an
MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas and built a career in banking and business, including leadership roles at Target and U.S. Bank.

Eric began his public service on the Prior Lake–Savage School Board, helping eliminate debt, build a surplus, improve test scores, and reduce property taxes. Since being elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2012, Eric has focused on practical solutions, including expanding childcare access and affordability, supporting small businesses, and strengthening local economies.

Eric and his wife, Tina, have been married for 34 years and raised their two children, Cam and Sammi, in the Second District. Family and community continue to guide his work and commitment to public service.

Eric Pratt spent decades in banking and finance and understands why so many families feel like they are working harder but falling further behind. In Congress, Eric will focus on lowering costs, supporting small businesses and restoring stability to an economy that no longer feels affordable for working families.

Eric Pratt supports law enforcement, first responders and policies that keep families safe and communities secure. He believes laws should be enforced fairly, responsibly and consistently from our neighborhoods to the U.S. Border.

In the private sector, Eric Pratt helped to protect families and businesses from fraud and financial scams. In the Senate, he fought to hold government in St. Paul accountable to taxpayers. In Congress, Eric will work to crack down on fraud, abuse and the people who exploit the system at everyone else’s expense.
